As much as I enjoy using the platform, without an increase in meaningful DAU, there is a chance that this gets ugly AF.


True.  Only slight advantage now is that if you assume that DAU does increase meaningfully at some point, then might as well prefer shrinking the total outstanding focus tokens by those leaving to hit the floor bid which is supposed to result in a burn of those focus tokens.  If the increase in DAU never comes, then you better be out of focus by end of year one.
