The bots farming these contests are hilarious. OK. I admit. They may not be bots but real people who could do with an extra 5$. e.g. In India, you could feed a family of 5 a decent meal with 5$.
@nader and anyone else running these contests: I think it's better to say the best 30 responses in 24 hours instead of the first 30 responses. That way, they at least do what you need them to do for earning the 5$.
Many of the responses here were "Perfect Sir, No Problem". Anyone who has some knowledge on UX will tell you that there is no perfect UX and Desofy with its Seed-phrase based sign-up still has a problem for the common user.

To help him out, try this onboarding challenge with someone you know, and give Ribal as much feedback as you can for 💎💎💎💎💎($5):
* Find someone who hasn’t joined DeSo yet. Could be a coworker or family member.
* Have them onboard onto Desofy. See where they get stuck if at all.
* After they’re onboarded, have them post a selfie pic of the two of you via Desofy.
* Reply to this post with your experience and a link to their selfie pic for 💎💎💎💎💎 ($5).

This may not qualify. But, I wanted to try what has changed so I created a profile for one of my kids. Here's my take and I've said this with your critique of the @zirkels onboarding. I don't think onboarding mainstream users with seed-phrase is the best experience. I almost forgot to save the seed-phrase. Luckily it was in my clipboard.
Reco: Use Social Sign-On and post sign-on enable a DESO Connect option for the best experience.

I'll do a more detailed blog post and I'm also working with the @Squadz team for delivering this experience as part of the Hackathon. Maybe I can show and tell instead of just speaking about it.
In my case, I spoke to my wife @AMV91 about @desofy and she liked the idea.
It cost me to be on board, but in the end I got it.
When she opened the account, I explained to her how it worked and the differences with conventional social networks.
What we both miss is having to translate the publications into Spanish to be able to better interact with everyone.
Even so, we are delighted with it and to this day, we both use it more than Twitter or Instagram.

Must say the onboarding experience was absolutely flawless.
Things I noticed -
1. After downloading the app it asks for Log-in / Sign Up same as @diamond
2. Clicking the sign-up page it takes us to the seed phrase.
3. Next is to paste it.
4. This is where the difference is after pasting the seed phrase it takes to e-mail verification with OTP which was also flawless and she didn't have any problems.
5. After that it asks to choose a username -> profile image -> description!
And boom you're all set to start your Web3 journey 💎🔥

I have installed @desofy on iOS and here is some feedback.
The onboarding flow worked as designed. I did not have any difficulty.
One suggestion... have different pathways for different users (creators, casual users, crypto-maxis) to provide appropriate context and plant seeds of expectations.
Another suggestion... some help text around picking username. Some social communities thrive on real names (facebk), others work fine with seemingly random names (reddit). A new user will experience some anxiety at this point in the process, and providing some text could ease that friction.
1. Time for soft fluffy posts and "spam this".
2. No time to respond to real issues. (Or have I missed an update?)
3. He clearly doesn't read posts on here other than skimming the hot list to occasionally diamond our posts: many of us have presented different means to filter bots.
4. Even if he doesn't read our posts, he seems to forget replies/discussions he's been in previously - we have all raised these issues when raising issues with various airdrops IRT: spam, bots and (well-known) alt-account abusers.
He's the father of this blockchain... he should know all this already.
