At the gym….

I have a small nice gym private to the condo owners or renters but I’m rarely in here with anyone else.

I’ve bee consistently working out with weights, some treadmill (like 30 mins in an incline) and walks.

I’m tracking calories : with a view of protein, carbs, fat, sugar .

I intermittent fast but also mix that up. Sometimes, I eat breakfast.

I do not demonize any food but stay away from fast food, restaurant food, processed foods, sugar, bread and milk.

I’m tracking 100 grams of protein a day and in a small not rigid calorie deficit. I get my sleep and am not stressed.

I’m not losing weight. I do not weigh myself but take measurements and have a huge closet full of clothes I can’t wear … Last Drs. Visit I had gained 4 lbs. 🤣🤣🤣

I’ve literally listened to hundreds of podcasts and pages of tik toks from nutritionists and doctors. Seriously, there is an opposite view to any subject.

I’m not giving up on my work outs and enjoying them . Not sure who in the heck can walk 10,000 steps daily (for me 4.5 miles) unless your in an active job or your a mom with small kids/ Nanny. I was 135 as a Nanny. I also had a sore body - back, forearms etc.

The big truck with me is I’m 63 and injuries are not fun. A strained shoulder stopped my lifting for 2 weeks. Then there is the knees… Take care of your body in your youth.

But, I must say … maybe having a few extra pounds isn’t so bad. I’ve seen skinny women in their 50’s and they look older…. Maybe layers of fluff keep the saggy, crepy and wrinkles away?

Here’s the good thing… I feel great, feel I look good too! If it wasn’t for my beautiful clothes I’m unable to wear probably wouldn’t care. Not giving up but I may eventually have to concede.

Until then, still aiming for a photo shoot at 65 with the goal of a bikini. Slow and steady wins the race!!
