🌬️ A windy morning today at the Notre Dame Nest, phew!! But as you can see, we still have “only” three eggs, phew!

🤪 These silly eagles had me SPOOKED these last few days.. They were doing some delayed incubating to let everyone slow down and grow at a similar pace, but this “delay” resulted in the eggs being uncovered for almost 12 hours, a few nights ago, ahhh!!!

🤞🏼 Luckily the temps never dipped below freezing- I believe it stayed close to 40F that night. So the eggs are safe, but it was still a scary sight, seeing them left alone for so long, aww.

🦅 I should emphasize that Mom & New Dad were perched above the eggs the whole time, so parents are okay. But even today, you can see Mom is spending a lot of time sitting NEAR the eggs, but not always ON them. It’s been interesting. 🤔

🤷‍♀️ Her egg laying window should be closing for the season, soon, so I “think” we are safe with just these three.. but it’s anyone’s guess, really!! I’ll still keep an eye on things this weekend and keep everyone posted. 👀
