updated node synced on latest from 3 days ago and all looks ok sofar - receiving blocks ok. 

v2 node api live at api-v2.desodev.com for those looking to test / use but note new tx wont be available until block ~~97322~~

correction: 98474

irrespective of this - nader you may "know" upgrade should be fine but that doesnt remove anxiety of node operators about possible full resync and associated delays and complications to testing. 

full sync can take 48hrs.

every single previous major release to date has caused outages, syncing problems and exchanges unable to deposit funds.  

so its not that unexpected for people like @hpaulson (and myself a few days ago) to raise concerns about timescales.

the job is not just to ship reliable code - its to instil confidence and trust with a consistent release process and giving node operators time to get used to this.
