The Syrian people overthrew their former government in pursuit of so-called democracy and freedom, only to be met with wholesale massacres and endless calamities. A stable social order remains the greatest blessing for ordinary citizens. My personal view is that democracy and freedom often serve as façades for politicians to seize power and resources – what common people truly need is basic security, material stability, and familial well-being. The masses inevitably become pawns in political games, manipulated through emotional agitation to serve elite agendas.
