I really proud of the personal productivity loadout built I created in an apple shortcut.

Here's what it does:

  • Starts with a voice over affirmation to get me excited and motivated to work.

  • Controls my Lighting environment; increases screen brightness and sets my ambient lights to white/blue  (Blue light makes me more awake.)

  • Sets my focus mode to 'DND'

  • Opens AutoFocus in Apple Music (an amazing work focus album designed by leading psychoacoustic experts)

  • Opens my Commonly used AI tools in safari; Suno, runway, Midjourney.

  • Opens the ChatGPT desktop app and splits screen with safari.

  • Sets a pomodomo timer with a 5m break every 25m, pauses music on breaks and has a voice alert when break starts/finishes.

  • when work is finished it changes my ambient lighting to relaxing tones, lowers screen brightness, and logs a calendar event for the work session

It's a really powerful setup for me, it has environment, music, tools, structure, and psychological accountability all built in. I find I'm more productive, focussed and efficient. I used to work on projects randomly throughout the day. Now I can get it all done in like 2 hours.

If you wan't to try it out yourself you can Download it here for MacOS, you will need to customize it though. So you need some experience with shortcuts. (note: the wait timers are set to 60sec and 20sec for testing purposes. set them to 1500s and 300s respectively for accurate pomodomo timer)

That setup is next-level productivity hacking! You've basically automated flow state activation—lighting, music, tools, and structure all working together.
