90% of any Web3 product is based on "Community." Deso doesn't have it, it doesn't have active social networks, it doesn't have that fun element that we humans need to adapt to something new. Could this reward system have worked? Maybe, but it hasn't. In my opinion, start by promoting what already works. Create a solid, managed, and active Telegram group. Support real projects with real communities like SG and a few others. Support developers building on Deso. Make it fun. Airdrops for participation, a fun website, etc. The cryptocurrency world right now is based more on appearance than on its mechanics. Deso is great as a mechanical product, but its commercial side needs to be exploited. There are so many things that could be done using much less money than is being given away. I think at this point it's safe to say that this launch has failed. The token has only gone down. It's time for the core team to rethink some things. This may work, but some aspects need work
