Whatever they're doing they should be clear about it. We're all a patience and accepting bunch - it's the silence that's the issue. 

If they came out and said "we're trying X Y and Z to resolve these issues" or "Sorry about all the issues, we're trying X to troubleshoot" they'd get understanding from the community.

Instead, it's radio silence besides a (forced) basic explanation of what the mempool is and hype for PoS "coming soon™".

I'm not an expert at all mate - just piecing together what I can from the available data.
