This isn't about forking, it's about verifying whether or not we can consider Deso as decentralised.

Once the experiment is complete, the nodes will be reset and resynced. 

I understand forking is the means, not the objective.

I know DeSo is not decentralized yet. And your experiment won't make it decentralized either. It does prove the ability to continue (to a certain extent) even after Core Team switches off their services. Business continuity and decentralization are two different things in my IT world.
