If you built DeSo audio rooms (similar to Spaces), I’d drop in often. There are just so many blockchain audio platforms (Audius, BitSong, etc etc) trying to get independent artists to drop music for fans to listen and earn.



None of them have gained any real traction. I’m not sure what the goal is with audio, but if it’s about listening to independent artists, I don’t really see where that goes. And couldn’t the same farmers on P2E just generate infinite AI songs for play to earn?



Yeah definitely not trying to turn into Audius / BitSong / Royal clones. Just offering multiple file formats and multiple ways to earn on them to strip the middlemen (also showcasing DeSo monetization). The same above method would also apply to videos for example.



Ultimately, when we hit an inflection point, new dedicated apps can emerge that can bootstrap off of the content and creators whether it's video, audio, image, file, token, etc. focused.



The problem with those apps is that they're not connected and don't talk to each other so the creators can't maximize their distribution since nothing is on-chain, thus eventually going back to mainstream social apps where they get the most engagement.
