Chapter 12: The Warrior’s Legacy

Ribbitz took a slow drag from his cigar, eyes flickering behind his shades as he studied the only name that hadn’t faded on the stone slab. The warrior who refused to be forgotten.

Gorr knelt beside him, running a hand over the carved letters. Never seen this name before.. I wonder who was Korrak The Unbroken?

Ribbitz exhaled a stream of smoke. Ain’t just some random dude. Someone made sure this name stayed.

The warthog warrior grunted. Which means someone wanted the rest erased

They stared at the slab for a moment, then Ribbitz gaze followed the faint etching of a warhound’s chain next to the name. The same emblem that had been on the beast’s armor.

Ribbitz muttered, tapping the carving. This dude ain’t just a fighter. He was connected to the Warhounds.

Gorr’s eyes narrowed. You think he was a champion?

Ribbitz smirked. If he was, then he didn’t just fight in this arena. He owned it.

Gorr stood, stretching his shoulders. If that’s true, then maybe there’s somethin else left behind. If he was important, warriors don’t just vanish without a trace.

Ribbitz flicked the ashes from his cigar. Yeah, question is, where the hell we lookin?

The warthog warrior scanned the arena, then jerked his head toward the far side of the ruins, where a collapsed tunnel entrance lay in shadow.

You ever wonder where the champions of this place ended up after the fight? Gorr asked.

Ribbitz raised an eyebrow.

They ain’t all buried here, Gorr continued. Some of em had to have a resting place.

Ribbitz cracked his knuckles, his smirk widening. Aight. Guess we dig into this warrior’s past before we dig up anything else.

He turned, glancing once more at the name carved in stone. The name that refused to disappear.

Who was this warrior? And what had they left behind?
