šŖ Jupiter's Ghoulish Side š¹
Released by NASA on what would have been Picasso's 142nd Birthday, this image was captured by NASA's Juno probe - revealing a spooky looking face in the clouds near the terminator between light and dark.
Captured during Juno's 54th close fly-by of Jupiter, this view is taken from a far northern region named Jet N7 and shows turbulant clouds and storms along Jupiter's terminator - the dividing line between day and night.
The low angle of the incident light from the sun only adds to the creepiness of this image - accentuating clouds details, while the dark contrast of night gives the image a dark feeling.
Obviously, it's not really a face - only a case of pareidolia, where our brain prefers to make recognisable objects from random patterns - but a wonderful addition to the #SpookySpace gallery.
