Today, for the first time, you can buy CLOUT with ETH and MetaMask on any BitClout node!
Until now, it's been hard for members of the ETH community to embrace BitClout because we didn't support their native currency.
This change opens BitClout up to 5M+ MetaMask users, opens it up to the #1 most active NFT community, and opens it up to ~$400 billion in ETH market cap that can now be a part of the ecosystem with just a few clicks.
If you know anyone in the ETH community be sure to let them know, and let's give them all a warm welcome!

Did you know you can give up to 8 diamonds on @DeSocialWorld ?
With $DeSo price rising, now may be the best time to do this. It may not be this cheap in the future π
6 diamonds is the max so far via DeSocialWorld. Whoβs gonna set the new record? And which creator will be the happy receiver?

β Fault cuts STS-83 mission short
π° Microgravity Science Laboratory-1 (MSL-1) launch
π Space Shuttle Columbia launch - mission STS-83
π Shortest shuttle mission due to fuel cell issue
π 64 orbits completed, 1.5 million miles travelled
On Sunday, 6 April 1997, Space Shuttle Columbia launched from Kennedy Space Center on the Microgravity Science Laboratory-1 (MSL-1) mission planned to be a 15 day mission. This was the first of two flights devoted to microgravity research. The MSL-1 payload consisted of a variety of experiments to be conducted in the Spacelab module of the shuttle.
Crew:
π¨βπ James Halsell Jr., Commander
π¨βπ Susan Still, Pilot
π©βπ Janice Voss, Payload Commander
π¨βπ Donald Thomas, Mission Specialist
π¨βπ Michael Gernhardt, Mission Specialist
π¨βπ Roger Crouch, Payload Specialist
π¨βπ Gregory Linteris, Payload Specialist
However, a fuel cell problem caused the mission to be cut short. One of three fuel cells, used to generate power for the craft, were showing a loss of control in the mixing of oxygen and hydrogen - which could result in an explosion, as was experienced during the Apollo 13 mission. Despite close monitoring and troubleshooting, the anomaly could not be resolved and the decision was taken to terminate the mission for safety.
Only 3 days into the mission, STS-83 was terminated and the shuttle returned to Earth, landing at the Kennedy Space Center on April 8, 1997.
The two planned spacewalks had to be cancelled, and the mission was the shortest shuttle flight at that time - lasting only 3 days and 23 hours, completing 64 orbits and traveling 1.5 million miles.

π¨ BREAKING π¨
The RESTRICT Act is a direct threat to your freedom of speech.
The US government wants to control everything you see and do online.
But there is a solution.
Decentralized Social can help combat this excessive censorship.
The US Government is concerned about TikTok and its parent company ByteDance and their ties to the CCP.
In response to these concerns, Congress proposed a bill to ban TikTok in the United States.
But it contains far more important details than we realized.
Bill S.686 - RESTRICT Act is proposed legislation from Congress to ban TikTok as well as bolster the Censorship Industrial Complex in the United States.
congress.gov/bill/118th-congress/senate-bill/686/text
Here are some key takeaways from the bill: π
β’ This bill is focused on prohibiting transactions between US citizens and "foreign adversaries". Any foreign government or regime can potentially qualify as a "foreign adversary".
β’ The bill allows the US government to monitor and ban virtually any software or hardware with over 1 million users/customers in the US. This includes social media, video games, webcams, modems, routers, and essentially any internet-connected device or application.
β’ Citizens can face penalties of up to $1,000,000 or 20 years in prison for violating the act!
The RESTRICT Act is a clear attempt to monitor the activities of US citizens to control what they see & do online.
How do we prevent this?
By turning to censorship-resistant platforms like DeSo, where YOU own your data, content & social graph.
New update π
Big new update for Diamond - transaction signing now runs entirely on derived keys! This update comes with major improvements we can't wait to share:β¨β¨
π¬ Group messages - Diamond now fully supports encrypted, on-chain group messaging.
π Enhanced Security - Diamond now generates revokable keys, giving users full control. Set specific transaction permissions and DeSo spending limits for each key. Try it out at wallet.deso.com/?tab=derived-keys.
β‘οΈ Faster Load Times - Moving transaction signing to derived keys eliminates the identity window from the Diamond web app, significantly reducing the bundle size and boosting load speed.
β¨ Improved User Experience - Diamond is now compatible with all major browsers, including Brave, and works seamlessly in incognito mode.β¨β¨
We're thrilled about these updates and can't wait to unveil more exciting features soon!

Just trying π€
Trying to stop, pause, or ban AI isnβt the way.
Itβs only truly dangerous in closed information platforms where you have a single tunnel view and canβt escape.
Especially if the incentives of keeping you narrowly engaged are aligned toward govβts & corporations, and not users. And where a handful of billionaires get to play the role of βinformation godsβ and decide the rules.
The answer is open, permissionless and decentralized platforms, so you can exercise your digital freedom and find a home that aligns with your values.
Unfortunately governments will never admit this. They continue to see crypto as dangerous. Something that threatens their existence.
Itβs not because theyβre a bunch of 70 year olds who donβt understand technology. Itβs because they capitalize off of fear. And fear is the essence of control. And itβs ultimately what votes them into power.
So eventually they will try to accumulate even more of it, as more fear will lead to more votes which will force unnecessary action.
And make no mistake, that if the US government does something foolish, like try to sneakily ban AI or ban crypto by killing off its access points - other countries will aim to follow.
But itβs important, more than ever, to continue building and innovating.
And without people pushing the limits of whatβs possible, we will lose our place in the world where both fear & control will be the only option left on the table.
Although have faith in people, because ultimately they will seek happiness by the path of truth and freedom. It is how we are wired. And the beauty of America is that we get to try again and again and again until we get it right.
Build your way out of fear (crypto), otherwise they will continue to fear what we build (AI).
