The situation is likely to be even more complex than you write here. In the sense, that it's not only about building a company with PMF, sound business model, etc. It's about building an ecosystem of connected, but separate entities that as a whole needs to flourish as well. A term like user retention also has a different meaning. The big advantage for users to easily switch apps, depending on their needs and experience, means that apps can loose users in the blink of an eye. BUT, they may very well be retained for the ecosystem. AND, apps may win these users back if they fix the problem for which the user left the apps.

💯 but there is a different issue here also and that’s the challenge of attracting, retaining and supporting builders so they can at least finish building to a level where they can test PMF and raise enough to do so. Most institutional investors won’t touch anything without at least some level of traction especially in this market.  Take us for example we had a term sheet but primarily due to our previous exit experience but the bear hit hard and we were unable to close in time and now we are in no man’s land with a 3/4 finished app still using testflight. In the meantime the core team builds yet another app of their own. As the one of the most promising projects on deso what stori are we telling to new devs looking in? Would you come and build here? I doubt it. So we all wait in hope to e core team can pull it off by themselves and drive adoption which we can harness. Is that how to build an ecosystem?

Brands benefit from being able to save their Storis longterm, hence giving themselves evergreen monetisation opportunities, they will also be able to apply to sell NFTs in Stori Marketplace. The important factor that will be a game changer for brands and selling NFTs in Stori is the utility that they attach to their NFTs. Imagine buying a sticker from one of your favourite luxury brands that you can proudly display in your Stori, but as well as the bragging rights you have gained from owning that sticker you also got discount on items from that brand, or entry into a super exclusive event or even some free merchandise. Brands could also create Brand Ambassador stickers to issue to influencers who could display them on their Stori when promoting their products, allowing the influencer to claim or earn back whatever compensation was agreed with the brand in exchange for the advertisement.
