Acrylic painting.. 'GroundCoverSeries'

There's something wonderful about spreading color on a canvas ..
It's magic.

A white space bereft of definition, besides being .. blank.
The joy. of 'slapping' paint where whiteness reigns. lives on the finished canvas.

I marveled many times at the thin coat of color that would create a world which drew you into a space you could almost feel.

Can you feel the damp black earth and the cool stones.
Can you hear the crunch of the dried leaves as you step to pick up the beautiful feather?
I seem unable to resist picking up feathers.
I have many in a 'feather bouquet' adorning my book shelf, waiting to take wing once again.
