HISTORY

DeSo Shopping was launched by Sean Slater and Slava Mushyakov in October 2021. 

Deso Shopping is a registered business in Australia with its own business bank account.

The shop expanded from selling just DeSo merchandise to Diamond and DAODAO merchandise and more recently started community merchandise - ShadyAcres and Swafs.

Total sales for the first year were $13,725.28 with an average of $218.35 per order.

We have decided to open our doors to the community, turning DesoShopping into a DAO - owned by the community, for the community. 

We plan to continue selling DeSo, DAODAO and Diamond merchandise but also expand the community projects and welcome more to join us.


THE DAO

We are launching the DAO with the DeSo Shopping business fully funded for operation with a 3 year runway.

This includes Australian business name registration, the DeSo.Shopping domain name and a fully paid 3 years of Shopify subscription. There are no other operational expenses required to run the business until renewals come due in October 2025.

The shop will continue to be fully managed by Sean and Slava, this includes dealing with the existing community projects, adding new community projects, managing the existing product range, providing support for customers and communicating with the DAO holders.

This will truly be a community store. It will help promote and support projects on DeSo by wearing community merchandise with pride. We hope, by choosing this model, to grow with community projects and help build active and engaged supporters for them, while offering 50% of the profits to DAO holders. The opportunity for DeSo Shopping to be the go-to place for all of the community merchandising needs will benefit everyone in the ecosystem.

Existing creator coin holders were converted to DAO tokens. Existing holders that have not yet converted are invited to transfer their held creator coin to the DeSo Shopping account to receive DAO tokens in exchange.

The creator coin founder's reward on the DeSo Shopping account will remain 100%. 


TOKEN HOLDERS

DAO token holders will receive 50% of all profits generated by DeSo Shopping. These will be collected on every sale after November 1st 2022. 

DeSo will be purchased quarterly, with the profits and will be split between DAO holders, when the funds are ready for disbursement. 

DAO members will be able to vote on proposals, new designs, merchandise, collections and more as we continue to expand the store. We look forward to building and engaging with our DAO community as the shop grows.

MEMBERSHIP ROUND

The membership round is an opportunity for new members to join the DAO that were not existing creator coin holders.

Priced at 6.5 cents per token. The round is open now and will close on 1st December 2022.
