In chronological order:

October 2024: Cyprus inaugurates an embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan, marking the strengthening of their bilateral relations.

21 February 2025: Kazakhstan's Ambassador Nikolai Zumakanov presents his credentials to the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, declaring support for Cyprus' sovereignty and territorial integrity. Kazakhstan opens an embassy in Nicosia.

31 March 2025: Turkmenistan appoints an ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus (based in Rome), initiating diplomatic contacts.

3-4 April 2025: 1st EU-Central Asia Summit is held in Samarkand, where the EU commits โ‚ฌ12 billion in investment, encouraging Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to align with EU positions, including support for Cyprus.
