In chronological order:

October 2024: Cyprus inaugurates an embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan, marking the strengthening of their bilateral relations.

21 February 2025: Kazakhstan's Ambassador Nikolai Zumakanov presents his credentials to the President of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, declaring support for Cyprus' sovereignty and territorial integrity. Kazakhstan opens an embassy in Nicosia.

31 March 2025: Turkmenistan appoints an ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus (based in Rome), initiating diplomatic contacts.

3-4 April 2025: 1st EU-Central Asia Summit is held in Samarkand, where the EU commits €12 billion in investment, encouraging Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to align with EU positions, including support for Cyprus.
