How We Plan to Do It
We're introducing a token-based system for conducting searches. Each search will require one token, which will be priced at $0.001. These tokens will be pegged to DeSo (because we could not set such a low amount in DeSo Dollar - but if in the future we are allowed to set token costs lower than $0.01 in DeSo Dollar we will do so).

The $10 you spend is sent to our account once the round closes. You are given $10 worth of tokens to use to search with. They are one and the same. The money raised is to cover the development costs (I estimated my normal hourly fee for the build with the different features plus the cost for hosting etc.). Not trying to make a ton of money, just cover my time, as well as make sure I'm building something the community needs/wants. Appreciate your support and glad you've found @DeSoSearchEngine useful!

## **UPDATE: FIRST GOAL MET!**
We reached $428.69 of initial funding, which means we will begin development of the search engine and release it soon! We've opened up a secondary round for stretch- goals with the next stretch goal being reached at $72 and the third stretch-goal reached at $200 (see details below).

## **The Need for a New Search Engine**
The DeSo blockchain was once easily navigable thanks to an effective search engine. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case. The previous search engine appears to have ceased to index the DeSo blockchain properly, leading to outdated and inaccurate results. Our mission is to develop a new search engine dedicated to DeSo, ensuring users have access to relevant, up-to-date information.

## **How We Plan to Do It**
We're introducing a **token-based system** for conducting searches. Each search will require one token, which will be priced at **$0.001**. - **$500 Milestone - REACHED**: Reaching this funding level will enable us to add functionality for searching specific user posts, tagged users, and complex queries including exact phrases, hashtags, and combinations of keywords.

- **$750 Milestone**: Achieving this goal will allow us to introduce advanced search filters, such as date ranges and engagement metrics (like diamonds or reposts), enhancing the user experience significantly.

- **$1000 Milestone**: Reaching this level of funding will enable us to expand our search capabilities to include NFT discovery so that users can search for specific NFTs through a comprehensive set of criteria. This will cover aspects like availability for purchase, immediate buy options, creator royalties, coin holder royalties, and other relevant metrics, ensuring a robust and versatile search experience within the DeSo NFT space.
