Anxiety by @NFTLegacy

𝐀𝐧𝐱𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲
A common feeling, but not commonly spoken about in the investing world. It’s one of the biggest silent killers of performance. Anxiety doesn’t just make us feel uneasy, it clouds our ability to think clearly, manage risk and stay grounded. It impacts our decisions, our routines and how we show up. And in this world, the markets don’t slow down just because we’re overwhelmed. It affects all of us. And instead of pretending we’re immune, I think it’s time we talk about it more openly.
1️⃣ Focus & Decision Making
An anxious mind is in survival mode. When the amygdala (your brain’s fear centre) is firing constantly and cortisol (your stress hormone) is elevated, it weakens the function of the prefrontal cortex (the part of your brain responsible for logic, focus and decision making). Clarity disappears. Judgment becomes reactive. You second guess your plan or abandon it completely. This is where overtrading, panic exits and regret live.
2️⃣ Exercise & Diet
This isn’t just about endorphins or losing 10 pounds. It’s about creating the conditions for a sharper, calmer mind. • Exercise lowers cortisol and brings your nervous system back into balance. It helps pull you out of that wired, anxious state, so you can actually think clearer. • It also increases a compound in your brain called BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), which basically acts like brain fertiliser. It helps your brain grow new connections, making it easier to break old patterns and create new ones. • A good diet stabilises your blood sugar and that keeps your mood and focus stable. Fewer crashes, less brain fog, better decision making. • the act of consistently moving your body and fuelling it well tells your mind, “I’m someone who takes care of things.” That repetition becomes identity. That identity becomes discipline.
3️⃣ Sleep
Sleep isn’t optional. It’s brain maintenance. Lack of sleep increases cortisol, heightens emotional reactivity and amplifies anxiety. Even without a clear trigger. It also weakens the part of your brain responsible for decision making and impulse control. That’s why it’s harder to stay disciplined or stick to your plan when you’re sleep deprived. You're not lazy when you're tired, your brain is just in survival mode. And in that state, fear and doubt tend to take the wheel.
4️⃣ Social Media
Information overload = emotional overload. Social media is built to spike dopamine and hijack your attention. It can feed fear cycles, comparison and overreactions.
5️⃣ Self Talk
This is a big one. Your internal dialogue shapes your experience with reality. What you say to yourself becomes your identity and eventually your behaviour follows. You don’t just need self awareness, you need to reframe the narrative. We talk about strategies, indicators and economic data all the time. But none of it matters if your mind is constantly hijacked by fear, fatigue, or noise. Mental clarity is the real edge. Long term performance isn’t just a numbers game, it’s a mindset game. Have a great week ahead! 👩🏻💻☕️

In South Africa, a helicopter crashed during take-off. The unusual cause, a cardboard box with a penguin on board the aircraft, landed on a control lever of the aircraft, causing the pilot to lose control of the helicopter. Nieuws 📰 telegraaf the Netherlands. @PenWyn 🥶

GE (well, we have GM and GN, so Good Evening)
🙋♂️ Checking in 👋
💪 Alive and Kicking ⚽
🔥 Oh my word: "sh*t is coming" - Silent, but not still!
🐂 100% committed, sadly 😣 100% disappointed
⛽ Big things coming, but I don't do premature launches
💖 Looking for #WeAreAllDeso volunteers - speak up
Mindful that despite being one of the most consistent active users for 1,472 days since 🔗 block 13,366 when I joined - way back on 7th April 2021... (with WELL-over 1 million transactions)...
...I've been awfully absent - and my apologies for this!! 💖
I don't want anyone thinking I've lost my commitment here - as that would be so far from the truth that you'd start believing in flat earth!
But - I must admit - I've fallen down that trap of being so heads-down buried, and so utterly disappointed at Focus, that I've simply not engaged like I did previously.
However, I'd like to reaffirm that I am 100% committed to DESO as a protocol.
Most of you (real users) know that I'm working on quite a substantial project under the guise of "@BeyondSocial", but, unlike some others, I'm not in the game of releasing a premature project - so let's say "good things come to those who wait".
"Silent, but not still"... I have 5-6 active projects, which will be launching when the time is right.
And... they're quite a mix.
I'm looking for a handful of volunteers - NOT technical people
(...I stress again for the people at the back "NOT technical people" - instead: real end-users) for testing these before launch and (ideally) folk that would be willing to:
- test each app and review:
- website copy, terms, FAQs
- press releases
- elevator pitches, and
- boilerplate social media posts
I'm really missing the everyday engagement I used to have with pretty much every actual user here (let's face it - there's around 50 of us in total) - it simply doesn't feel quite the same now that all of our engagement is on Telegram.
Anyway, please raise your hand and reply if you're willing to share a little of your time to help with the forthcoming launches and give your real, unbiased and honest feedback.
It's the real feedback that I'm after... and those of you already engaged in various beta programmes with me know that I will take it all onboard 💖

Kindness by @SidXO x @WhaleDShark
A calm figure sits in a hoodie, centered and surrounded by subtly moving grasslands, the Tennessee countryside. The background rotates gently like a heartbeat, and scrolls around them, echoing waves of community energy and being at the centre of the space.
•The main character sits in place surrounded by frens and characters from collector culture and gaming with slight horizontal sway, mimicking a meditative presence.
•The grasslands flow in smooth rhythms, dynamically repeating across the width of the screen, speding up or slowing down, even inverting to reverses flow controlled by sentiment.
•This piece is chill and shows how not 2 fucks are given at the childish trolling or mudslinging in the heat of pure chaos within the web3 space.
•The entire animation changes based on live sentiment from WhaleDShark’s latest DeSo post. High sentiment intensifies movement and pulse, while low sentiment slows everything to a still, gentle flow.
This piece embodies kindness through subtle, harmonious motion and synchrony between character and WDS post—kindness as a stabilizing, anchoring force.

Good afternoon deso friends.

🌐Earth Day – April 22, 2025🎉
Our planet takes care of us every day — today it’s our turn.
This year’s theme is “Our Power, Our Planet.” It’s a reminder that we can actually make a difference.
Pick up some trash. Plant a flower. Talk about the climate. Even the smallest action counts.
Let’s take care of our home — together!🌐🌱

My beloved Shure headphones broke 😢☹️
Gonna try some new headphones by skullcady with Bose tech 🤞
May look into a home diy repair for my Shure earphone but I don't think it'll ever sound the same with a repair 😢
