A community was built that encouraged investment in a coin and in each other. The community was told that "gas was being poured on the fire" to bring new users in.

The users came. A lot of referral $ was spent. Then nothing was done to retain them. They were not supported. Nothing was done to mitigate the alarming churn numbers. (How many accounts were created to build 2-3k DAUs?)

People lost money. Some lost a lot of money.

Yes, there are feelings of resentment.

The good news is that the BitClout experiment worked! DeSo attracted in a bunch of new developers (see 200+ apps live), a strong base of users (3K-4K DAUs still), and a lot of capital to deploy into the ecosystem (close to $200M raised).

However, as we have undergone this shift, I worry that some audiences (specifically creators and end users) feel neglected, or worse, that they were part of a bait-and-switch.
