Retention is KEY for viral growth.

I've been working today/yesterday my own little system to try and help engage new Focus users.

My sense is that the Core Team need a Community Manager (or other Focus users will have to help in this area collectively). This would involve onboarding help, guides/videos, special events, connecting high value users to other users in the same area of interest, etc

For me it mostly comes down to two things:

  1. New users need a fast "Time to value" e.g. getting their first Diamond or Comment on a post. Some of this could even be automated...but it's even better if it comes from a human.

  2. New users need "Social Connections" quickly... this is why Twitter onboarding connects you to your Interest ...and why Facebook and other platforms are so keen to connect to your mobile Contacts list.
