After selling a $100M company, Jake Kassan confessed he felt empty and depressed.

• Bought the Ferrari and beach house of his dreams
• Traveled around the world
• Forbes 30 under 30

On the outside he won the rat race, but he realized money did not solve all his problems. Leaving him deeper in a pit of despair. There seems to be a trend of millionaires feeling empty and lost after massive monetary success, why is that?

In Judaism, we do not believe money is a means to an end but rather a tool. Simply put, it is a representation of energy and a transfer of belief which you built a vessel to sustain it. In this case, building a company is the vessel. And you have the opportunity to increase in goodness in the world by giving more charity for example by becoming a partner with the creator.

Let's dig a little deeper.

In Hebrew, the word for money (ממון - Mamon) shares the same root letters as faith (אמונה - Emunah).

With only two differences: the letters Aleph (א) and Hei (ה) enclothing it. These two letters—Aleph (א) and Hei (ה)—are the first letters of E-h-y-e-h (א-ה-י-ה), one of Hashem’s divine names, meaning “I will be” (Exodus 3:14).

This reveals a powerful truth: when you bring emunah (faith) into your relationship with mamon (money), it ceases to be just a material pursuit—it becomes an act of trust in Hashem.

You internalize that the outcome is not in your hands—but in His. Because money is just energy being transferred.

This mindset frees you:

• No greed when you earn abundantly.
• No anger when things don’t go your way.
• No disappointment when faced with loss or deception.

The goal is to master money—not let it master you.

Do you believe in afterlife, like in paradise or hell?
