A global ban on tar sand development is sorely needed. It takes nearly as much energy input to extract, process, refine, and transport the product. Oh and it results in tremendous carbon and methane emissions. Save a few outdated jobs to destroy the planet. Pure stupidity.

In the next years something similar will happen for particular grid cables, that will require moving a lot of soil
