In frame : Ratneshwar Mahadev Temple (रत्नेश्वर महादेव मंदिर) 📸

This temple used to lean about 9 Degrees, which is even 5 degrees more than LEANING TOWER OF PISA. Latest update, the tower leans at 3.99 degrees owing to extensive work done to straighten the tower. Also known as Kashi Karvat, one of the beliefs held regarding the temple is that the 'ghat' had collapsed and leaned backwards after not being able to withstand its weight. The temple supposedly stood straight before the 1860s. Its sanctuary (Garbhagriha) is generally below the water of ganges river much of the year, except for a few months during the summer. A lightning strike in 2015 caused slight damage to some of the elements of the Peak (Shikhara). It is one of the most photographed temple in #varanasi by photographers all around India⛩️
