***2023 - Wrap up. Another open letter to DeSo's antifragile core community.***

Dear DeSo,

Cheers to another year of adventure and camaraderie in the DeSo-verse!

It's been a year filled with product innovation, focused-building, and building Focus.

The core team built!

The OGs flirted with other chains.
Some came back and brought their learnings. Others will follow soon ;)

Some regretted selling DeSo; the believers were @diamondhands .

Some DeSo projects paused, but pause is not an end :)

Other notable ones - @DeSocialWorld , @desofy , @diamond , @AltumBase , @Gemstori - kept running and supported the community.

Despite a year of focused building, community members did what they do best -

πŸ”₯ @VishalGulia stayed in the Hot Feed with spicy posts
πŸ“’ @Krassensteins promoted positivity and helped spread the word
πŸ’° @HighKey kept accumulating DeSo
πŸ’Ž @StarGeezer showered diamonds
🀣 @Brootle did what brootle does best
πŸ™Œ @designsta @jodybossert @goldberry @WilliamLaurent @MechellLord @1dolinski @clayoglesby @darian_parrish @mubashariqbal and many more were around to chat, help, and support!

Personally, I'm grateful to DeSo and the DeSo community. I found friends, learned product and business lessons, and developed technical skills.

In 2023, we made collective strides in the world of decentralized social media. I can't wait to see what 2024 holds for the DeSo's Antifragile Core Community!

Cheers,
Salil

πŸš€ BitClout OGs Making a Comeback? Love to See It! πŸš€

Some of the OGs from the wild days of BitClout are popping back up, and honestly, it’s great to see. Whether you were stacking creator coins, debating decentralization, or just along for the rollercoaster ride, you know it was a moment in internet history.

Who else is feeling a little nostalgic?

πŸ‘€ Drop a comment if you were there during the madness!

I think 3 things should drive demand and adoption of Focus.

1. Creator monetization - Ideally pegged to a stable coin so the creators don’t experience speculative swings.

2. Crypto abstraction - Mainstream folks are more familiar with regular online transactions vs crypto transactions and terms (e.g., wallets, staking, proof of work)

3. Mobile-first experience - Social media runs on mobile and social content is snackable. Having an amazing mobile-first experience is critical.

Excited about the launch of Focus.

Put in 5 figures in USD on reserving focus tokens.

Largest project investment I've ever made.

(Just sharing my activity, not financial advice, obviously)

Happy Thanksgiving, DeSo friends.

I know DeSo has a lot of product people - product managers, product owners, founders, product marketing folks, etc.

Over the last few months, I built a job board for Product Manager jobs.

Currently, there are over 10,000 Product Manager jobs across the US, Canada, Europe, and India, including remote opportunities.

Check out ProsperCircle - prospercircle.com

The goal is to make the go-to place for Product Manager jobs.

For each job, you can quickly glance at the job highlights, skills required, as well as compensation information.

Also, each job is vectorized. Which is nerd-speak for saying you can easily search for jobs without using exact keywords.

Would love to hear your thoughts and hopefully it is helpful to identify product career opportunities.

Leveraging my experience as a product designer I am officially launching πŸš€ Pretty Epic (prettyepic.design).

Pretty Epic is a one-man πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» product design agency offering monthly plans to help start-ups and dev teams improve usability, user adoption and boost retention for their products.

If anyone has a project they would like to discuss please jump in the DM's πŸ’¬ or book a call πŸ“ž via the website.

I would really love to work with any DeSo projects and will be offering an intro discount to fellow DeSo builders and creators.
