These little 125mm paintings are about acceptance, accepting care and love from oneself. Super challenging even to write those words let alone act on them. Even my own self care is put into terms of others. As a mother it’s always tempting to say ‘I’ll exercise and eat well because then I can be well for my family’. It’s all a work in progress. Working on deserving my own attention is a big project.
