I saw a post on Insta today, someone commenting on how timelapse videos of artists painting have given them anxiety in the studio. That they should be faster. Funny how the we know it’s a timelapse and yet it internalises anyway that it’s ‘normal’ and we should be somehow keeping up.

I’ve been purposefully slowing down. Painting how I want to paint. There’s still so much to learn! More than I will in this lifetime. Enjoy your craft. It happens one brushstroke at a time.
