I stepped gently over the cold smooth rocks to start my paddle out to the rolling waves. I glimpsed small fish dance among emerald blue hues & rays of light kissing the sand bank in the shallows. The thrill of the waves remain as i write to you.

Took this photo of Waimea Bay recently. For me returning to be in Oʻahu was incredibly special, after visiting over summer time growing up in Australia our family had the opportunity to go there again. I'll share more soon about my family history connected to French Polynesia & my interest in Polynesian languages, history and culture & also how $DESO community has linked me to cousins around the world.

I just looked out over the Ocean & felt amazed. I thought I'd share something from one of my favorite books that describes these moments:
