I feel profoundly grateful to let you all know that we have taken a minority position in Solana, the fast, secure, and censorship resistant blockchain providing the infrastructure for global adoption.

In a 1st for my fund, our investment was structured as a purchase of Solana’s digital tokens (SOL) rather than a purchase of equity.

Our blockchain portfolio continues to grow and I couldn’t be more excited.

I’m so insanely jet lagged. It’s just after 4am local time. I’m gonna try and get 4hrs of sleep. Try to survive without me I know it’ll be excruciating.

Today was a remarkable day of learning in Dubai.

Met with founders from a dozen different startups, investing in three. They were all smart, humble, and exceedingly passionate.

Had lunch with an industry leader and two officials to discuss nurturing their startup scene.

Had dinner (pic from restaurant below) w/ a local VC championing edu and health care startups.

Really bullish on MEA startups as they transition away from sole reliance on oil as share of GDP. So proud of the next generation of entrepreneurs here.

A few bits of advice/reminders for founders after my meetings in EU:

- Make sure (w/ data) idea is viable b4 seeking funding
- Determine the type of investment that works for your business & growth plan
- Only accept funding from investors who are your #1 fans & match values

Last day in Rome:
- Meetings w founders from two of our portfolio companies
- Lunch w/ founder of ML startup we may invest in
- Happy hour w/ leadership team of our newest portfolio company

And then it’s a red eye to Dubai for two days of meetings followed by three days in Singapore and then HOME.

The stock market isn’t irrational, it’s mimetic.

What's happening in a few special assets (“meme” stocks) — movement fueling more movement — is merely an amplification of what has always happened in the stock market: price action matters bc it is, above all, a reflection of what other people want; and what other people want affects what other people want.

And that is a product of mimesis, not memes.

So don’t let anyone tell you it’s nonsense to invest in untraditional assets. Just tell them you’re a student of human nature.

I’ve kept this Langston Hughes quote in my wallet with me every day since my first year at YouTube out of college, and I think it is very applicable to BitClout.

When building the BitClout world around you, start first with yourself.

BitClout Fam - if you’re in a funk for content ideas this is what I suggest you do (it’s a bit unorthodox):

Take a look at a few other creators that you respect and think of 10 ideas that you’d like to hear their perspective on. Now, instead of writing them yourself, GIVE THOSE IDEAS TO THAT CREATOR FOR NOTHING IN RETURN

Why? How does that help you to give those precious ideas away?

Writing down ten ideas a day will rewire your brain.

You’ll experience a dopamine boost from this idea habit. Writing down ideas will give you a feeling of achievement in the morning that becomes the momentum needed to tackle the rest of the day. The process of capturing ideas builds up your idea muscle.

Before you know it, you’ll be jamming as an idea machine fit yourself. Sometimes you gotta give a little to get a little. If you need someone to practice on, pitch 10 ideas to me. I’ll respond with feedback.

For those of you that don’t know, Cere delivers fast-tracked consumer enterprise adoption through decentralized data clouds, data interoperability and connectors for bridging enterprises with Decentralized Finance. Working with businesses that already have millions of loyal users already. Cere’s blockchain innovations, such as the Decentralized Data Cloud and a suite of enterprise SaaS solutions, have been built in alignment with blockchain platform Polkadot to bring clusters of enterprise-focused interoperable networks and solutions into the substantial blockchain ecosystems.

Lovely couple days in London catching up with a few of my portfolio companies. I invest in passion, vision, sustainability, and ruthless execution. They have it in spades and I’m so excited for them.

Something tells me Shiba Inu (SHIB) coin will out-Doge Dogecoin over the next couple years.

I'm not a huge fan of some of these meme-Alts and I wouldn't be surprised to see it hit zero at some point. Yet so many of my peers have recently bought huge sums that I feel like I can’t ignore it.

Last week, one of my portfolio companies,
Real estate investment firm Republic Realm, acquired an NFT of a set of land in virtual world Decentraland for a record $913,808 worth of MANA, the game’s native token.

Can't wait to see their plans for the estate come to fruition.
