DeSoPunk 50
50 weeks ago, I started this project to create one NFT per week for 50 weeks. This is the last one.
To me, the project feels complete, but not finished. I will now retrace my steps to see how the project evolved over time, and how it has changed my perception and my personality.

49 weeks ago I started my DeSoPunk project to create 50 NFTs in 50 weeks. Back then I had no clue how it would develop. Would I go the whole 50 weeks, would I run out of inspiration, would it turn into an arduous task that I would abandon somewhere along the way? Would I be able to pull the project through?
It turned out exactly the other way round: Instead of me pulling the project through, it was the project itself that was guiding me along, taking me to unexpected places, week after week. It helped me to meet people I hadn't known, and learn new aspects of people whom I did know. And it helped me to discover new, unknown aspects about myself.
49 weeks ago i started out with the idea of being a "creator", and now I find myself as a creation of my own project.

Big shout out to @studio_richards who is about to own more of my DeSoPunk NFTs than I do myself.
Thank you very much for your appreciation, mate. It means a lot to me.

The 48th of my weekly DeSoPunk NFTs.
"Have you ever considered how invisible we are to each other? We look at each other without seeing. We listen to each other and hear only a voice inside out self." (Fernando Pessoa)
Maybe one aspect of my DeSoPunk is this question of what I see when I look at someone.

Number 47 of my weekly DeSoPunk NFTs.
In a way, they combine to form a self portrait. After all, we typically define us in relation to other people. We see ourself as being older, younger, smaller, taller, fairer, darker, as having the same or differently colored eyes, skin or hair.
So if I create enough portraits of people who are not me, the sum total should at one point show, who I am.
Or maybe not.

Week 46 of my weekly #DeSoPunk NFTs and I realize how much of a DeSo project this is for me. I would not have started it on any other platform.

Not that my DeSoPunks would reveal any shocking truths about my life (I guess the only shocking truth about my life is, that there isn't any). Still, I feel I am giving away something of my personality, and I wouldn't want to do that outside of DeSo.

Only here do i find the kind of the welcoming community, that makes me feel at ease sharing my experiments and my thoughts.

Still contemplating @studio_richards comment about the in-between space. Looking around a bit, I stumbled across this quote from Fernando Pessoa: "I don’t exist. I’m the space between what
I’d like to be and what others
 made of me."
It sounds familiar to me. Probably it's in his "Book of Disquiet", which I've read some years ago.

DeSoPunk 46 is not Fernando Pessoa. But then, who would know what the 21st century Pessoa would look like?

On my last NFT, @studio_richards commented that it was something in the in-between space. A comment that made me think, and somehow triggered memories of Godard's movie Pierrot le Fou. If I remember it correctly, right at the beginning it says something like "space rules everything".

I wanted to verify this, but couldn't find that scene on YouTube. Instead, I stumbled across another famous scene from that movie, Belmondo and Anna Karina driving a big Ford Galaxie into the ocean.

French directors of that area seemed to have a thing for American V8 cars. Think of the cars in Melville's Cercle Rouge, or Truffaut's Mississippi Mermaid, where Deneuve and (again) Belmondo are on the run in a flashy red convertible. You won't see that in German or Italian movies of that time.

I'm getting carried away.

Imagine #DeSoPunk 46 driving along the road in a red Oldsmobile F-85 Cutlass.

Somehow weird that I am sitting here arranging pixels, while it's a nice, sunny, 80°F day outside. But it feels good.
Maybe it feels good because I know that later I will sit outside at the local pub. I will have a beer, look at the lake and chat with the town folk. We will watch the tourists going home from their day trips. The beer will taste very good.

I am currently reading the novel "Schwarzenberg" by German writer Stefan Heym, which is set in a post-war socialist utopia. DeSoPunk 45 reminds me of a character in that book, the traumatized, mute girl Paula.
