New year, new projects. I’m really excited about a series that has been developing organically.

At 3 am, my son woke me up to tell me the power had gone out. Then, at 4:30 I awoke to talking. @mikegoldberg usually makes fun of me when I wake up and hear a noise in the middle of the night, so I decided to explore on my own.

I first checked the children who were both asleep and then, resigning myself to a brutal death, went downstairs.

I found Sebastian the cat sitting in the chair watching “Mean Girls.”

I looked at him, grabbed the remote, told him to stop trying to make fetch happen and turned off the TV.

Reality is stranger than fiction.
