Our latest adventure involved a magnificent Black Rhino bull, a creature of great strength and beauty, but not without its challenges.

Unlike the more docile White Rhino, Black Rhinos are known for their assertiveness and preference for the dense bush at the base of mountains, making any intervention a delicate dance with nature.

Alerted by the vigilant Rangers about a male Black Rhino displaying unusual behaviour - sleeping more than is typical and showing signs of distress - our team took to the skies. Locating the Bull and darting him from the helicopter, we embarked on a race against time and terrain.

Our bull, perhaps in a bid for a quiet moment of contemplation, chose to ascend the mountain post-darting, presenting a unique challenge for our team. However, thanks to their expertise and determination, they were able to assess and treat him efficiently, ensuring he was back on his feet, wandering back into the bush within 11 minutes - a true testament to the skill and quick action of all involved.

We're relieved to report that, after a thorough assessment and analysis of the bull's health on that mountain, he was given a clean bill of health. His recent behaviour, we believe, can be attributed to the local heat and conditions. Rest assured, the Rangers will keep a close eye on him, ensuring his continued well-being.
