Come join us at Flax Art Studios Emerging Artists Programme, North Street, Belfast between 6.00 – 9.00pm this 3rd November for Late Night Art or call in Thursday, Friday or Saturday afternoon between 2.00 – 5.00pm until the 12Th November.
On behalf of the Flax Art Studios Emerging Artists (FASE) Hub we welcome you to the unveiling of BOX, a project featuring a very special selection of contents, including offerings from guest artist Graham Gingles, Flax Art artists Martin Boyle & Peter Richards @studio_richards ; and FASE Hub artist’s Philip Keers, Charys Wilson and Katya Solomatina.
BOX marks the start of a new six-month program from the FASE HUB artists – be there from the start. If you can’t make – its okay to pretend that you were.
Flax Art Studios is now in it’s 33rd year and continues to aim to significantly contribute to the regions’ visual art practice through studio provision and resources and is the only studio dedicated to sculptural practice and provision in Northern Ireland. Flax acts as a hub for professional development, international networking opportunities; and fostering greater understanding through outreach and engagement activity.
The Emerging Programme - In August 2021 Flax Art Studios took over 7 North Street in Belfast city centre as a space dedicated to supporting the next generation of artists who are in the early stages of their career and/or graduated during the pandemic.
With three floors of studio spaces to accommodate up to 36 recent graduate and emerging artists with a ground floor project space. Providing exhibition and mentoring opportunities throughout the year. Artists have full access to Flax’s facilities including digital fabrication technology, wood workshop, casting/plaster room, fabrication area.

With three floors of studio spaces to accommodate up to 30 recent graduate and emerging artists with a ground floor project space. Providing exhibition and mentoring opportunities throughout the year. Artists have full access to our facilities at Havelock House. Including digital fabrication technology, wood workshop, casting/plaster room, fabrication area, photographic studio and film studios.

Flax Art Studios are based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. We support and promote emerging and established contemporary visual artists from Belfast and beyond, through studio provision.
We Provide Studio Spaces with 24 hour access for over 50 contemporary visual artists along with our sculpture workshop facilities including wood, plaster, casting, digital fabrication, textile, and large internal/eternal workspaces.
