Another reason why we are divesting ourselves from the DeSo vision & team. I will no longer be supporting referrals or helping new users understand this blockchain. It's not my job & I noticed the price change without announcement. I will no longer be doing free labor for DeSo & "team"

Dear @deso Core Team:

I hope you are reading this because it's VERY important.

I am not here to speak for @Raj and regardless of his specific reason for the sell-off (which I fully support on many levels and might write about in a separate post) a serious issue was highlighted regarding referrals that MUST be addressed.

I haven't yet been comfortable enough to promote this project (for many reasons) so I don't pay much attention to anything referral related.

However, it appears the referral amounts have changed yet again.

To the extent the referral amounts paid to new users changed from $25 to $5 (or any amount) that should have been disclosed immediately...and not after the fact, before the change actually took place.

I don't understand how this issue could fall between the cracks or the importance of it could potentially be lost.

I don't see every post here (just most of them...yes, I'm always watching and I don't care if that's creepy) so if I missed a big announcement, I apologize for this post. I don't think that's the case.

I think everyone knows how much I dislike false advertising of any kind and to the extent people are out promoting DeSo and sharing referral codes (which we know they are and we know how much this is encouraged by the core team) knowing how much the referral is worth and representing that accordingly is HIGHLY important.

I understand from chatting with Raj in CH last night that when he questioned the change, he was told that it changed for everyone but as many have shared, that is not the case. That is also highly problematic in the absence of the core team having provided a framework for this difference.

I'm optimistic about a lot of things going on here but situations like this really frustrate me. So much can be achieved with proper communication because most of us here are reasonable humans.

This REALLY needs to be addressed here, on chain, today.

After joining on March 12, the first day of BitClout's launch, I didn't think I'd be writing this.

I've decided to exit all my holdings in $DESO. This includes all creator coins I hold.

After multiple attempts at reaching out to @nader, for communication and clarity, I have hit a point where I no longer have patience for the lack of reciprocity.
