Haidilao to Compensate Diners After Teenagers Urinate in Soup

⏺Haidilao, China’s largest hotpot chain, has pledged to compensate over 4,000 customers who visited one of its Shanghai locations after two teenagers urinated into their hotpot broth.

⏺The incident, captured in a video last month, showed the teens urinating into the broth while dining in a private room. The two 17-year-olds, who were reportedly drunk at the time, were quickly detained by the police.

⏺Haidilao has apologized for the incident and has replaced all hotpot equipment, disinfected utensils, and issued refunds and compensation to affected customers.
