A potential data breach of the Cadastrar Comunicação de Acidente de Trabalho (CAT) service has been detected on a hacking forum: 33 million user records have reportedly been affected.
According to the post, the threat actor known as Sorb claims that the breach was carried out on January 30, 2025, by exploiting a vulnerability. Among the 88 GB of exfiltrated data, the leaked information allegedly includes:

- CNPJ (company registration number)
- Work phone
- Employee name
- Sex
- Date of birth
- Work permit number
- Work permit series
- CPF (individual taxpayer registry)
- Occupation code
- Phone number
- Email
- Work accident communication number
- Document type (CGC/CNPJ)
Cadastrar Comunicação de Acidente de Trabalho (CAT) is the service for reporting a work-related or commuting accident, as well as an occupational disease.
